Upper Audubon Security District

On November 4, 2008 the voters of the Upper Audubon Security District (UASD) voted overwhelmingly to fee every parcel in the district $500 to pay for additonal security.  The district boundaries are from St. Charles Avenue (riverside) to Magazine Street (lakeside) from Audubon Park to Broadway (both sides).  All residents living within the boundaries enjoy the benefits of the patrol service.

Effective April 13, 2009, the patrol service will be provided by Weiser Security Services.  Weiser can be contacted by phone at 889-6415 .

  •  Upper Audubon Security District (UASD) has contracted with Weiser Security Services to patrol the UASD.  Effective April 13, patrols are provided 24-hours a day.  The UASD patrol is a visible presence in the neighborhood. Uniformed patrolmen in a Weiser Security car discourage criminal activity in our neighborhood. Richard McCormack,, Vice President of Security, reminds us in addition to the normal patrol, Metro provides the following services to service subscribers:

     • Suspicious activity investigation. If you are concerned with a suspicious person or unusual activity call the Patrol  to investigate the incident.
     • Escorts to your residence. If you want someone to see you to your door, call the Patrol 15 minutes before you need them and the officer will meet you at your home. Consider calling if you are walking your dog or taking out your garbage.
    • Out-of-town patrol. When you are out of town, the officer on duty will patrol your property twice a day & pickup your paper. Call three days before you leave town.  Out-of-town forms can be found in the forms section of this website.
    • Secondary back-up for private alarms service. List Weiser Security as a backup contact if you have a security alarm. A Weiser guard will be dispatched to your home and the call is recorded and logged and is useful in comparing NOPD activity.
    • Emergency contact for household employees. If you have a housekeeper, baby sitter, house sitter, gardener, etc. you can leave instructions for them, in an emergency to CALL 911 FIRST, THEN Weiser Seecurity. Call 821-2222 (the Non-Emergency NOPD #) if you see a suspicious person.
    • Fire, healthcare and disorder. Not only will the guard service act to protect property and the safety of our residents, Metro also can aide other emergency services in protecting our neighborhood
